About Us
|
The
people of Pilgrim meet in an historic building (1866) that has been
extensively refurbished. In 1982 three of the city congregations, that
had become part of the Uniting Church in 1977, decided to
form one congregation in the city centre. The Paterson Street Methodist
building was chosen as the site for this new congregation, embarking on
a pilgrimage into the future, hence Pilgrim Uniting Church.

The
glass-covered cloister provides a physical link between the
commercial centre and the government offices in Civic Square. It is
often used as a resting place and lunch venue for city workers and is a
convenient gathering space for church functions.
Locals and visitors share refreshments after services here.
